Hello! My name is Louis (casually known as Lou.) I’m a 25 year old self-taught trans photographer from Perryville, Maryland.
I’ve always had a deep passion for music and have been an avid concert goer since early 2013. I first began this hobby by going to festivals such as Bamboozle 2012, Rock on the Range 2014, and Firefly 2017 where I would bring my trusty Canon Powershot Sx400 IS and shoot for the hell of it.
By Christmas of 2017, I had obtained my first DSLR camera. I learned that there were other folks like me that found joy in capturing the pure essence of live music, and that it could lead to a potential career goal. Since then, I’ve been traveling the globe and catching insane gigs to photograph.
I currently use a Canon 6D Mark II and am based in Dallas, Texas.
I also co-own a music publication called Punkaganda Press alongside co-owner Alexia Abarca, where we uplift marginalized musicians and creators.
